About Us

Christina Douglas is a writer and editor who has been, at various times, cleverly disguised as a teacher and librarian at local Christian schools and an administrative assistant at various locations. As a teacher, she taught several classes, including sixth grade language arts and writer’s workshop.

Christina grew up surrounded by language geekiness, inheriting a grammatical perfectionism from her mother and a love of words from her father. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in linguistics from California State University, Fullerton in 2002.

International classmates at four different colleges have sought her help with English grammar, occasionally asking her to proofread papers for them. Colleagues and employers alike have looked to her for writing or editing. These requests have included press releases, official newsletters, letters to the editor, Curricula Vitae, staff biographies, commemorative booklets, and accreditation self studies.

She also does a good deal of her own writing. In addition to her book Through Mist and Shadow, Christina's poetry has been published by the International Library of Poetry and her high school's yearbook (after she graduated, no less). Her online scrapbook journals of her overseas trips have been used as recruiting tools for later trips. Poems and essays she has written have been borrowed for use in church services across the country.
